Atelier a-z photography is Anton Z Risan’s first photography book, highlighting some of his best shots from his 2011 photography portfolio. (the book is a gorgeous full colour, Large Square – 30x30cm, 200 pages, hard cover with dust jacket)
Anton specialises in photographing young men on their first trembling steps into adulthood, trying to capture the innocence and beginning of maturity that is present in men at such a brief moment in their lives. With exception of a few inserted text phrases, anton let’s his strong yet simple images speak for themselves, letting the beauty of the boys approach the readers up close and personal.

anton Z risan is a former classical ballet dancer, based in London, UK where he’s been working as an architect for over seven years. Originally from Sweden with mix Croatian background, he moved to London twelve years ago to join the English National ballet, he also worked for Matthew Bourne’s famous all male “Swan Lake” dance company. Anton has always taken photographs throughout his varied career, but it’s only recently he has focused on it more seriously, we hope you like the outcome.
