“I met Brady Rider in Paris one afternoon in May 2023. He was sitting on a bench. He held a book in his hands; his arms were muscular. He looked up and smiled at me. Me stammering… “Hey! How’s it going? what are you reading? » he replied (in a charming American accent) “It’s by Aldous Huxley”
Really! Meetings are never due to chance.
We started a conversation full of small talk and then I asked him to pose for me. We saw each other several times until July.
Brady was born twenty-four years ago in South Carolina. He is a painter. He now lives in Los Angeles.”

Gizard’s lens intimately captures the daily lives of Brady Rider, a young man of today, and his companions. Rejecting the pursuit of plastic aesthetics or physical perfection, the focus lies in capturing the raw truth of the present moment. Each young man blossoms with spontaneity, creating an atmosphere of true freedom and abandonment.

This exhibition pushes the boundaries of societal norms and presents a new and necessary definition of masculinity, one that embraces softness, tenderness, and authenticity. Gizard’s sensitivity allows viewers to explore a world far removed from archaic expectations and discover the beauty in embracing vulnerability.

Stéphane Gizard, a French photographer born in Paris in 1977, is renowned for his unique perspective and creative freedom. He is considered one of the most brilliant figures in contemporary male photography. In addition to his commissioned work, Gizard collaborates with the “Boys Boys Boys” collective, donating book proceeds to the Elton John AIDS Foundation. He also actively participates in charitable auctions. His unparalleled vision has led to numerous successful exhibitions and book releases worldwide.

The exhibition will run at the Galerie du Lendemain from December 2023 to February 2024. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this extraordinary collection that challenges conventions and redefines the boundaries of male artistry.
