Yenping Chen is an artist based in Taiwan. We are in love with his serie Conception. “The city generates hysterical personality on contemporary people; in order to adapt to the change of environment, people also go through the life cycle just like the insects – construction, deconstruction, and reconstruction. The order and inherent creative freedom in reality, which is the poetic atmosphere of mysterious, morbid, and romantic mixed by the two elements, are painted by me to present the conflict and changes.”
“I use bleach as a major media for creation. The bleach is a kind of “destruction” and “rebirth” material. Due to the corrosion and fading characteristic of bleach on the black cloth, it reveals the images lurked beneath the black color which represents the rebirth of wash.”
