ROLE are an electronic DIY band who formed in 2014 and have recently relocated from their home city of Madrid to London. The four-piece band is Mvr (vocals / keyboard /sampler), Claudia Hai (vocals / keyboard / sampler), Alex.O (bass / keyboard / sampler) and Franj (drums / sampler). ROLE’s electronica is diverse and has covered Post Trip-Hop, Dream Pop, Witch House and Shoe-gaze. Their debut album ‘How Distant’ (2014) included the critically acclaimed single ‘Ocean’. The debut nodded its head more towards Dream Pop however the new material and upcoming album due for release later in 2016, has seen a shift towards more dark, avant-garde electronica with cinematic structures. ROLE have been favorably received online globally by DIY (UK), Goldflake Paint (UK), Gigslutz (UK) Site Of Sound (U.S.A), Le Disco Lab (France), Lights and Music (Japan), Deer Waves (Italy) and with numerous “Track’s of the Day”.
After establishing themselves in the Spanish electronic scene by playing major festivals like Converse Make Noise Malasana, Synthzine and Valle Electrico, they then got their London calling to bring their explosive and dynamic live show overseas.
