From Hand to Mouth by Klavdia Balampanidou

Klavdia Balampanidou is an audiovisual artist based in Thessaloniki, Greece. From Hand to Mouth is a project developed under the need for personal expression through a stressful situation, as a way to an exploration of internal turmoil and with the attempt to regain intimacy with oneself. At the same time, aims to explore issues of anxiety, depression, fragility and feelings of instability.

“The objects, the gestures and the bodies are in a constant dialogue, presenting the causes and the effects of this conflict and showing how painful and full of tension this process can be. The title is a reference to Bruce Nauman same titled sculpture with wax (1967). A title with multiple meanings, enigmatic, which also focuses on the relationship between two parts of the body.”
