”Arab Spring”
New York Fashion Week. Jeremy Scott Spring/Summer 2013 collection entitled ”Arab Spring”, drew inspiration from the Middle East. He is one of our favorite designer and the new collection is to die for. The collection featured animal prints (crocodile, snake, giraffe and leopard), shiny leather and lots of gold.
Titled Arab Spring, while last season channelled the wardrobe of nu-ravers, and before that, Hillbillies, this season Scott raided the wardrobe with Pretty Woman in mind.
Shades of pastels and neons and big hairdos, it was all here to see – this season was a flashy affair with combinations of gold chains, animal skins and black accents. Thigh-high boots featured gold cap toes while mesh tanktops were covered in gold coins and harem pants were printed and sheer.
