KALTBLUT: How did you start photographing?

John: I developed a fascination for film photography and wanted to get a few cameras of my own. Then I found my ideal camera and started documenting my life.

KALTBLUT: What made you choose analog over digital?

John: I enjoy the quality of the images much more. The grain and the colors are much more appealing to me. Besides, point and shoot cameras are easier to carry around.

KALTBLUT: What is the subject you most love shooting and why?

John: I’d have to say nature. Because it’s one of the only subjects that can make me say WOW out loud.

KALTBLUT: Of all places you have been to which one has influenced you most?

John: There isn’t a single place that can choose. I get my influences from many different places I’ve been and experiences I’ve had. It’s all a big concoction!
