#MondayMood Temple Invisible — ‘Burn The Waters’

Temple Invisible release new single ‘Burn The Waters’ via their own The Funky label on 19th May alongside their second EP ’VOID’ on 26th May. ‘Burn The Waters’ is the duo’s first new music since their EP debut in 2015, and marks a shift in their sound – one that takes in between of chiming keys, swoon alt-pop, waves of organic percussion and arpeggiated synths, coloured with Irina’s dark whisper vocals.

“‘Burn The Waters’ was first shaped in our mind when we were crossing the Nord Sea from Germany to Denmark. It was our first encounter with the Nord Sea and we felt something totally new and profound, like a distant friend whom you’ve never met, but when you do, you know you’ve known him or her since the beginning of time. This song may seem to be kind of sad but in the end, we feel that you are left in a state of being eased. Like in the chemical process of transforming from the solid phase directly to the gas phase, without going through the liquid phase, and even though water is liquid to begin with – its thickness clogs as tar, and then, by sublimation, it’s transformed into this light and bright feeling of peace.” – Irina Bucescu explains.

Temple Invisible is the dark-experimental, electronic, post-industrial musical project of Irina Bucescu, Costas Ivanov and Daniel Olteanu – three multi instrumentalists from Bucharest, Romania.
