Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week – #MBPFW SS18. I am in LOVE with Petra Ptáčková´s Spring/Summer 2018 collection. The young designer from the Czech Republic unveiled her new designs for boys and girls during MBPFW. The new collection is full of energy, design ideas, modern and very relevant in the world of today´s Czech fashion.
The world of Petra Ptackova is a place where fairy-tales, sports, and couture handcraft meet. It’s a place built within the walls of the term “magic realism”, which depicts clothing as art forms signi ficant by both their uniqueness and wearability. A truly in finite wearability: Her garments are easily convertible for instance from jacket to backpack to trousers, they are real “Fashion Transformers”.
Petra Ptackova, shortlisted for the Czech Grand Design 2014 award, has shown her collections at fashion weeks in Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, Kiev, Madrid, and San José, along with having them on display in the showrooms at the International Fashion Showcase in London (F/W 2014), Berlin (F/W 2014), and Paris during the Fashion Weeks (S/S 2015).
Her work has been featured in Vogue Italia, British Vogue, Vogue Spain, Vogue Mexico, British Marie Claire, WeAr Magazine, Collezione Russia, 160g Magazine, Hint Magazine, Sicky Magazine, Fashionising.com and various Czech media including national TV Channels, newspapers and magazines such as Elle, Marie Claire, and Harper’s Bazaar. The Czech edition of Forbes Magazine has recognized her as one of it’s ‘30 under 30’ honourees for 2015
