Throughout history, brave individuals have resisted even the most totalitarian regimes, losing their freedom and often their lives. Yet their beliefs, their actions and their legacy often long outlive the regimes that try to suppress them. The red room is used in this project to represent a fascist regime; the androgynous figure is at odds with this environment and rebels against it in a movement of queer liberation.”
