TOP 5 Germankraut!

German “Hip Hop”

It is saturday the sun is shining but we have to work for our new collection. Music is helping us a lot. Here is a little Top 5 of German´s best Hip Hop groups. Deichkind, Cro, Seeed, Fanta 4, Beginners! Yes the Germans also do “Sprechgesang” and they do it really well. Enjoy it and have a nice day.

5. Deichkind: Limit

Deichkind are the freaks in the German hip hop scene. The group was founded in 1997 and his since then one of the most creative music act. Electro meets hip hop. Each album is with a new sound. “Limit” is a song from 2002. Deickind always surprise us with the videos. Leider geil!

4. Seeed: Ding

Seeed are Berlin´s best and well known hip hop – reggae – dance hall group. Each song is a hit. On the stage since 1998. “Ding” was not only here in good old Germany a chart hit. They group is well known in the world. If you have the chance to see Seeed live on stage one day – don´t miss it!

3.Absolute Beginner: Liebeslied

One of my favorite tracks ever! A super chart hit 1999. The group is from Hamburg. The capital city of German hip hop. Jan Delay is these days one of the most successfull  “popstars” . It is a pity that we have to wait since years for some new tracks. But in summer 2012 we can see them at some great festivals.

2.Cro: Easy

Cro is THE NEWCOMER in the German hip hop world. His sound is super smooth. The perfect sound for the summer. The young artist is right now on a tour. Based in Stuttgart. He is a multi-talent. And we can´t wait for more music in the future.

1. Die Fantastischen Vier

Fanta 4 are our hip hop heros. It is not easy to choose a song and video. All of them are just great. More then 20 years ago they jumped into the music world with ” Die da” the first hip hop song in our language. Since then they are super successfull. The live shows are maybe the best once you can see here in Germany.
