French producer duo Millesim is offering an electrifying and punchy remix, along with an extended version, of Sweet Tempest’s ‘Colourful Rain’, while waiting their debut EP ‘Elixir’, scheduled for mid-June, and signed on Kitsuné and Soundplate Records. ‘Colourful Rain’ further enhances Sweet Tempest’s reputation for crafting gorgeous, polished dream pop music. Citing Rhye, Tom Waits and the Beach Boys as influences, Sweet Tempest have been favourably compared to the Cocteau Twins, Beach House and Au Revoir Simone. They draw inspiration from the adventurous aspects of everyday life to produce expertly-crafted pop music that sways along dreamily, yet contains many emotional nuances, fuelling sharp, sweet feelings of longing and nostalgia.
‘Colourful Rain’, taken from the EP ‘Bones & Machinations’, is the latest single from Danish duo Sweet Tempest, released via Cicada. Written, produced and mixed by the duo of Julian Winding and Luna Kiri (whose soundtrack to the 2016 film The Neon Demon has well over 1 million views on Youtube), Sweet Tempest have already racked up hundreds of thousands of plays online with loyal support from influential YouTube channel ElectroPosé and tastemaker publications such as Wonderland, GAFFA, Indie Shuffle and JaJaJa amongst others, not to mention appearances at high-profile festivals such as VEGA in Copenhagen and performing in support of pop singer Fallulah, the duo is certainly an act to keep a close eye on in 2017.
