Taken from Clovis XIV’s debut EP ‘Golden Hours’ is the stunning new video for ‘Moonrise’. The Parisian electronic artist is inspired by the landscapes that surround him, on the EP the musician demonstrates his ability to create expansive tracks out of soundboard and synth, calling to mind the often disparate Los Angeles scenery. Director’s notes
One young man’s journey on the streets and alleys of Los Angeles will venture into ethereal visions of the beyond. A talisman with powers yet to be revealed is kept close by his side. Evil will emerge from the shadows and destroy all in it’s path to obtain it, but its gifts are those that only reveal under the rays of the evening moonlight…
At a time when innocence has been lost for many, an uncertain future lies ahead… The directors Andrés and Tomás sought to blur the lines that the location might imply on first take. Working closely in tandem with artist Clovis XIV the intent was to create a mystical story placed within the confines of South Los Angeles, a place of many realities for it millions of inhabitants, and confront the worlds of the urban landscape and the divine.
