ВОЛЯ [VOLIA] – Ukrainian Independence Weekend Festival

To celebrate the 32nd Day of Ukrainian Independence, Hotel Continental – Art Space in Exile, Vitsche, FUSION Jams, and Chain Reaction join forces to create ВОЛЯ [VOLIA] – Ukrainian Independence Weekend Festival that will take place in Berlin from August 24 till August 27.

The Festival ВОЛЯ [VOLIA], which in Ukrainian stands for both “Willpower” and “Freedom”, will kick off on August 23 with “Simple Act of Listening: Music from Ukraine“ in the Galerie Weisser Elefant, followed by a series of cultural events held at Hotel Continental from August 25 to 27.

On Friday, August 25, we proudly present prominent Ukrainian music projects to the audience in Berlin, such as “Sensitive Content” and “Das Wortspiel” followed by the afterparty curated by Chain Reaction in a nearby venue. On Saturday, Hotel Continental will give the stage to the unique Contemporary Jazz collective – FUSION Jams. On Sunday, August 27, a Fashion & Craft-Market will spotlight the rich Ukrainian art and culture. Additionally, an interactive exhibition “It’s Ukraine – Not a Game” will be presented to the public throughout the whole festival weekend.
