Antony Morato has chosen Milan as the location of the new Fall / Winter 2017-2018 advertising campaign. The images shot between unique places and everyday locations show the dynamism of the man from the metropolis, who meets life with energy and vitality and always looks for new challenges. The campaign was filmed by Francesco Calabrese and photographed by Mattia Buffoli.
In the Antony Morato Fall Winter 2017/2018, Nature, in its deepest essence, bursts into the everyday life of the cities. The primordial matters – Earth, Water, Air and Fire – release their energy to break cages and bonds, giving man the possibility of expressing himself and shouting. The Black, Gold and Silver collections draw inspiration from the Pyramid of the Elements (Earth, Water, Air, Fire) and everyone reveals its own substance and projects it in the world of contemporary fashion and in our cities. The Black collection is inspired by an opposition between Earth and Man.
A contrast which becomes the key of a metropolitan design, which melts the military style with glamorous touches, as fur inserts and embroidery in woollen threads. Special fabrics looking like woollen ribs and jackets in damask fabrics with satin revers reinterpret the informal jacket and the smoking. The graphics are characterized by intense colours and are often scrawled violently and remind to the Basquiat’s works. The shades of colours going from the tones of the North Sea water blue to the gradations of the gray typical of chilly and humid environments inspire the Gold collection. Minimal details and contrasting inserts enrich a style based on rigorous cuts, where the immaterial graphics come through the overlapping of urban and natural elements, like metropolitan sceneries, sectioned minerals and the braiding of branches. Air is the essence of the Silver Collection and inspires garments reminding to the paratroopers’ uniforms. The details and the technical fabrics acquire a purely stylistic dimension, which outlines a sports and deep urban context.
As in the Pyramid the Elements melt to generate Fire, in the same way the collections combine to tell the Antony Morato brand, which in this last symbol expresses its own vitality and essential but always dinamic style.
