For their first runway show during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Jale Richert and Michele Beil linked everyday situations in the fashion studio with the artistic staging of their own world of thought under the title “Alter Ego”.
In the 2019/2020 Autumn/Winter Collection, RICHERT BEIL showed excerpts from the Ready-to-Wear Collection as well as the Studio Couture and thus handmade unique pieces in 23 looks for women and men. The rediscovery of the traditional costume handicraft The focus of the collection is on the reinterpretation of the old German fashion heritage. For three years, the designers have been working on the potential of the textile trade and the resources they can use regionally. In collaboration with the Juppenwerkstatt Riefensberg (Bregenzer Wald), two couture looks were created with which the label subtly integrates the traditional costume motif into its pieces in combination with timeless, clear and complex designs. With the corset manufacturer Tom To Berlin, RICHERT BEIL designed two historically inspired corsets that were worn over the body suits of the collection. Together with shoe designer Erik van den Storm, the duo developed handmade leather shoes made in Italy and available to order.
