Berlin! Orange Nights by Spencer Chalk-Levy at Retramp Gallery
#SaveTheDate – Berlin July 16-25th 2021! Spencer Chalk-Levy’s first solo exhibition at Retramp gallery explores raw emotions and dreams through both personal and collective narratives. Tension bubbles just below the surface through an intense color palette and inspired by decorative arts and folklore he tells his story.
The scenes set are moody, the days not quite yet sinking into night: foreboding and ambiguous and enigmatic. He takes viewers through the twilight of his and our collective psyche; Sphinxes, Archers, Argonauts – evoking common, yet personal imagery of ancient and contemporary cultural totems.
Retramp is a small gallery, studio and project space in Berlin-Neukölln concentrating on contemporary folklore and alternative realities. The Retramp team is particularly interested in creating a space for artists not only to develop and market their work, but also learn how to execute a successful exhibition.
Located at Reuterstrasse 62, near the U7 & U8 U-Bahn Hermannplatz.
