Blog of the week : Cats and Butts by Leon Karssen

An interview with Leon Karssen, a 19 year old illustrator from Holland. He loves rice flour vanilla baby porridge in the morning and he hates longboarders all day. I found his blog a while ago on Tumblr and he makes me laugh every time I visit his tumblr.

With his smart ass comments on anonymous questions and his sarcastic dark humor, it’s nice to entertain yourself with his blog when you feel sad or when you have a hangover.

I got the chance to ask him some questions.

KALTBLUT: Hi Leon, thanks for taking the time. What are you doing through the day?

Leon: Skateboarding and drawing.

KALTBLUT: Cats, dicks, butts and sarcasm. Who doesn’t love that. Why do you think you’re the first one to come up with something like this?

Leon: I don’t think I’m the first one to come up with this stuff, probably a million other people are doing that, but not that I’m aware of. I try to mind my own business as much as I can lol.

KALTBLUT: What do you like so much about cats, and why are they mostly blue?

Leon: I’ve always liked cats, but not like I would want to have 12393923 cats. I just drew this character once and it happened to be a cat and it stayed with me. I just like blue. “2012 cat thing wuz born on a timetable”

KALTBLUT: What is your favorite drawing?

Leon: My favorite drawing is this drawing my friend once made of a horse. Unfortunately the file has been gone for years.

KALTBLUT: Did you thought people would tattoo your drawings?

Leon: Not really, but thinking back to it, it does make sense. Talking about the corny doodles I made that I like myself too.

KALTBLUT: Did you always love paint?

Leon: With ms paint came my passion for drawing. I always kind of liked drawing, but these MSN paint sessions with my friend through MSN definitely sparked that.
