Check Bradley Soileau´s new fashion and art and music project: BLACKFIST vol. 1 : Endless Bummer. A 7-piece collection accompanied by one of a kind hand-made pieces, a series of zines, limited edition casette mixtapes, and a short film will be revealed over the next few months, culminating in a gallery installation that will immerse the audience into the world of BlackFist.
The lookbook, shot by Cameron McCool, featuring model, Justin Gossman, which was then made by hand and xeroxed by Bradley, marks the first in this series of releases. With each release Bradley intends to pull you deeper and deeper into Blackfist: Volume 1 and the mindstate that is Endless Bummer.
The collection is inspired by Bradley’s dislike for Los Angeles (his current hometown) and the feelings of drowning and depression brought about by the city’s state of endless summer.
In Bradley’s words, “Removed from the context of seasons, in a place where summer is essentially endless and the lows of winter do not exist, summer becomes disgusting. The sticky air, the stench of hot garbage, endless nights of sweaty sheets, flies in your kitchen, the infinite drone of air conditioning units… it’s suffocating. Summer is stagnant, depressing, suspended in a state of aimlessness. You drown in endless summer.
