Jean Paul Gaultier and Eastpak have another surprise for you, they are set to join forces once again. Following the success of this year’s edition of Eastpak Artist Studio, comes a new collaborative collection inspired by some of Jean Paul Gaultier’s most iconic catwalk pieces. The famous supersonic jet pilot uniform, leather biker jacket, bomber jacket and denim jacket have been recast in the form of Eastpak’s own iconic creation: the Padded Pak’r® backpack.
The Limited Edition Collection will go on sale via selected stockists on February 1st, 2015. And the Main Collection is scheduled for release on April 1st, 2015. Part proceeds from all sales will go to DAA.
“Limited to just 125 pieces each, both the Kaki and Nude version of this reinvented Gaultier classic evoke the designer’s unique identity and outlook. A supersonic reinterpretation of the jet pilot uniform, complete with technical lacing and Jean Paul Gaultier’s signature corsetry”. Available as of the 30th January.
The Biker Backpack
“A natural extrapolation of the unadulterated biker spirit… Jean Paul Gaultier has recast the biker jacket in the form of a backpack, inspiring and inspired by the need to move and the desire to rebel. Part proceeds will go to Designers Against AIDS to help boost awareness for HIV/AIDS and bring real change to the lives of millions around the world. “Available as of the 1st April.
The Denim Backpack
