FilmPolska: 11th Polish Film Festival in Berlin April 20th to 27th 2016

Yes, it’s that part of the year again! The best Polish Film Festival out of Poland takes place in Berlin and it’s gonna show us an average of Polish film art we won’t be able to see in Germany. The film school of Łódź, one of the oldest in Europe, will show us shorts of its students and there will be screening of the “New Cracow Animation“.

But there will also be the winner of the Silver Bear of the Berlinale “United States of Love“ by Tomasz Wasilewski: the story of women who want to find their places in the new world of the 1990’s. The festival also remembers the deceased directors Andrzej Żuławski with “Cosmos“ and Marcin Wrona with “Demon“.

For film lovers and experts the retrospective of Jerzy Skolimowski will be a highlight and the exhibition “Phantom Power“ of Konrad Smoleński.

Be excited and watch the modern movies of our neighbors! It’s worth it, because Poland changes in a bad way and as usual the young people will revolt against it.

The screenings take place all around Berlin and even Potsdam and Frankfurt(Oder).
