Footshop introduced new collaboration with LAFORMELA
#LookBook! Prague – Online streetwear retailer Footshop has joined forces for the second time with one of the most coveted local brands and a KALTBLUT favourite: LAFORMELA. With its collection called NO SEASON, Footshop had the honor to close three days of fashion shows on the biggest fashion event in the country. The second collaboration between Footshop and LAFORMELA reflects the dullness of everyday life on the street, at work or in society. The crucial idea of the collection was the velocity of our times and the corresponding fashion style of the urban people.
“When creating the collection, ordinary people were important to us and also their personal stories, which reflect their style of dressing. Each story has its own personal aesthetics, whether it be a laborer, a schoolboy, a musician, a cyclist, or a homeless person,” names the inspiration of collaboration the co-author of the collection, Daniel Chomistek of Footshop.
“To create a See Now / Buy Now collection that is designed for a particular target customer and has the potential to be presented at the fashion show at the Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week was a big challenge for us. Unisex products are commonly appearing in LAFORMELA seasonal collections and therefore the creation of mostly men’s looks naturally follows up our DNA,” add designers Miroslava Kohutiarová and Antonín Soukup.
The “NO SEASON” collection is mostly unisex, the materials used are typical for different periods and decades. Denim from the 90s, nylon from the 80s, or twill from the 70s. Together, they were connected with the latest trends of 2018. This is the most extensive collection produced by a local designer brand in our market! 46 models in a total of 560 pieces will appear in-store in the Czech Republic, but also online from the end of March 2018. Streetwear enthusiasts, as well as LAFORMELA fans, can look forward to an extensive collection of sweatshirts, T-shirts, long sleeve T-shirts, vests, trousers, jackets, shorts, overalls, coats, blouses, skirts and belts. The entire collection was produced in the Czech Republic.
Footshop is the largest local streetwear player. With more than 220 000 followers on Instagram, Footshop is among the most watched companies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Czechoslovak designer brand LAFORMELA creates a unique ready-to-wear clothing and accessories. The aesthetics of designers Miroslava Kohtiarova and Antonín Soukupa is a game with a distinctive coloring and graphic processing of garments made by traditional Czech manufacturers. Urban style of the brand often draws inspiration from subcultures, history and outdoor activities.. Seasonal collections are regularly presented on fashion runways of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week project in Prague, Budapest and Malaysia. Thanks to representation at the Other/Wise showroom during the Paris Fashion Week, LAFORMELA has received a prestigious sales representation in the Branco concept store network in China. The brand presented its FW17 collection. Last year, LAFORMELA won the Societé competition, culminating in a one-year stint in the fashion accelerator in Budapest. LAFORMELA’s work has also been presented in foreign and Czech magazines and the SS18 collection has been included in the prestigious selection of Vogue Talents.
