Sanni Est moves through the artistic scene of Berlin using various forms, including theatre, art performance and cinema, alongside curating the transfeminist festival Empower. For her next performance, Sanni has prepared a very special show for the visitors of the Klunkerkranich – and encourages trans* people to come by offering them free admission. Sanni will be accompanied for the first time on the stage with a Yoruba percussion of 3 Brazilian “Batuqueires”. Rhythms such as Maracatu, Ciranda and Baião, which the activist turned artist played and danced as a small child in Pernambuco, are added to their alternative songs and shed new light on the one-hour show. Additionally she will be accompanied by live synths from Strip Down and drums, as usual, to perform her debut album ‘War in Her’. FCK VYNYL a.k.a. Anna Bolena and Dokia will also be performing.
