Maison Kitsuné unveils its first campaign under the creative direction of Yuni Ahn, marking the start of a new stylistic chapter for the brand. Set in Zuma Beach, California, the Maison Kitsuné Fall-Winter 2019/20 campaign documents the everyday life of a group of youths living in a coastal town.
Presented as a series of black-and-white and chromatic shots, the footage chronicles ordinary scenes, capturing idiosyncratic, youthful energy at its best. In-the-moment, the result is intimate, grounded in reality, with a focus on the power of movement. maisonkitsune.com // www.instagram.com/kitsune
Tapping into the label’s deep musical roots and exploring House Music’s golden age, the 90s, the Maison Kitsuné Fall-Winter 2019/20 collection combines a subtle mélange of sharp tailoring, streetwear influences and effortlessly wearable, comfort-focused designs. Unveiled January 2019 at the brand’s first-ever presentation during Paris Fashion Week, “HOUSE KITSUNÉ” lays the foundations of Yuni Ahn’s vision for the Maison Kitsuné man and woman.
Born in South Korea, Yuni Ahn was scouted for Stella McCartney’s first team while studying at Central Saint Martins. A multi-talented designer, she has acquired a diverse range of experience working on ready-to-wear, accessories, as well as interior projects for various companies including Chloé, Céline, Miu Miu and Paul Smith. Most recently, she worked on the core designs of bags, jewellery and sunglasses for Céline under the helm of Phoebe Philo, later becoming Design Director of the pre and show collections.
