One To Watch: Tsepo Tsotetsi – AW17/18 Through Chaos
Tsepo Tsotetsi, an emerging fashion brand founded in Johannesburg, South Africa started in 2015 with the ideas of creating contemporary clothing for both men and woman with a stern belief that fashion is art that can be consumed by everyone.
It is about making it work for you and finding yourself in whichever way you feel best represents who you are – having something to say and not being afraid to make it known. With a keen interest in a much darker aesthetic, we enjoy creating work, which encompasses deconstruction of essential tailoring pieces presented with a street/sportswear attitude.

“An African artist, Mathias Chirombo, specifically ‘Rising of the Ancestors‘ and ‘Sacred Spaces’, inspired the direction of my AW 17 Collection ‘Through Chaos’.
The work looked volcanic and had a chaotic air – the eruption process – the smoke, the ash, the lava, the lightning but also maybe I was subconsciously linking it to what is/was happening in and around the world. My voice introduces stillness to this chaotic air.”
