On Friday, March 13th, the whole of Berlin’s nightlife was officially shut down in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. This means that more than 9,000 employees and tens of thousands of artists are suddenly without employment and the many places that create identity for Berlin are on the brink of ruin. In response to the fact that the clubs in Berlin are closed and the rest of the world is in quarantine, Berlin declares its solidarity and brings the largest digital club to your home via United We Stream in partnership with ARTE. The first event will take place this evening, 19h CET live at Watergate featuring Claptone, Jamiie, Mathew Jonson ft. Xx Isis xX, Monika Kruse, and Yulia Niko. Show solidarity, dance with us in quarantine & donate now!
On one channel, United We Stream in partnership with ARTE Concert, Berlin clubs, organizers and artists will show a whole range and variety of the Berlin club scene. In addition to the live broadcast of DJ sets, live music and performances, United We Stream will also be a platform for round tables, lectures and films on club culture topics. We now need your support so that the Berlin club scene survives these difficult times! With just 10, 20 or 30 euros per month, you can become a sponsor and receive a virtual club brand as a thank you. In addition, you can also donate clubs and organizers directly or purchase soli merch. All income from the streams goes to an aid fund with where distressed clubs and organizers can be supported. The Clubcommission Berlin eV has developed a catalog of criteria for distributions from the fund and commissioned an independent jury.
