Supporting young artists at Berlin Art Week

Artists Inside opens the group exhibition of this year’s fellowship artists on 17.09. How do I put a price on my work? How do I plan an exhibition? Where do I find a studio? How do I build up the much-needed network in the art industry outside the university?

Young artists have to ask themselves these questions in addition to finding their style and artistic identity. Especially stepping out of the vacuum of a university into the world of art can be challenging. The non-profit organization Artists Inside has made it its mission to support these practical components by offering an annual fellowship.

The Fellowship is a multidisciplinary and democratic scholarship program that supports emerging,
Berlin-based talent under the age of 35. The 10 annual finalists are selected by a jury of experts and
the alumni of the previous year and are subsequently supported for one year with mentorships and coachings as well as prize money.

The annual program consists of intensive coaching sessions over several months with established artists such as Alicja Kwade and market experts such as Anna Schwanz from Office Impart or Magnus Resch. In addition, the association provides the budget for a final exhibition. 100% of the proceeds from the final exhibition will go directly to the artists.

Artists Inside will show the works of the 10 finalists of the annual fellowship program Emilia Urbanek,
Jule Tabea Martin, Katya Quel Elizarova, Kurt Fritsche & Joshua Gottmanns, Lisa Götze, Maximilian
Schröder, Sally von Rosen, Thomias Radin, Victoria Pidust, Zhenru Liang in the former C&A Neukölln from September 17th to 18th.
