Fashion made in Berlin has been named many time as not relevant in the fashion world. But we do not agree. Berlin is an exciting city for young fashion designers. On Saturday, October 22nd, ESMOD Berlin was delighted to present the next group of designers to shape the future of fashion, at the annual ESMOD Berlin B.A. Graduation Show DSRPTN. Taking place at the historical location, Loewe Saal, a total of 52 Graduates presented their collections to over 600 industry professionals, fashion press and members of the public. Separated into two shows with one show in the afternoon and one in the evening, the young designers made their entrance into the fashion world with an array of intense colour, form, print and innovative silhouettes. The evening event presented the 21 top collections before an international jury. The jury were also responsible for awarding prizes for outstanding talent and design.
The Jury had the extremely tough decision of deciding the illustrious Prix Createur for the most outstanding collection, which was awarded to Gina Laumanns. The Prix du Jury (Jury Prize) was awarded to Anina Mayr and the Aigulle D’or (The Golden Needle – a symbol of great achievement) was awarded to Max Rabe.
