Top 5 Videos Of The Week

Happy Friday everyone! Every week KALTBLUT pulls together our most favourite and newest music videos from around the globe so you can enjoy effortless, scroll-free visual pleasure – enjoy!

Terrace – Exit Stars

The second installment to a trilogy of videos, the Canadian troupe have provided us with envious footage to accompany their disco-pop track, of a girl simply gliding through crystal blue waters. Where’s that shark when you need it?

Lonnie In The Garden – Song 3

Just to shake it up a little we decided to add a rather contrasting video from Lonnie In The Garden. Described as “pop experimentation, dark-hearted instrumentals and ghostly choral backdrops all washed-out in fuzzy psychedelia”, this band is definitely for the fan of Feetwood Mac. Powerful fringe.

Hudson Mohawke – Very First Breath

Hello Tokyo Drift. I’m sure there’s a storyline in here somewhere, but there’s so much neon I don’t even care. I get the impression the girl with the flip knife is pissed? Directed by Sam De Jong, it all gets very intense and violent between a series of flashbacks and phone calls. We’re very excited for this LP release in the next month.

Digits – Safe

Another snowy delight, Safe is the newest video coming from Toronto based artist, Digits. I have to admit, I thought this video was going to turn into an encounter from The Thing, but I’m glad it turned out a little cuter.

Francesca Belmonte – Are You

I can’t believe a video just summed up last weekend perfectly – satin sheets, drippy black goo and jeweled masks. And is that Francesca wearing a snake as a hat? High fashion. Ahead of the release of her debut album Anima, the video is a perfect visual portrait of Francesca’s dark, electronic music. It’s also decadent as hell.
