This spring, The Vices will be joined by a number of special guests at festival dates in London, Antwerp, Groningen and Berlin. Each city will feature a unique lineup on one or two stages, with both national and international artists performing alongside hosts The Vices.
Bands like Shybits, The Vices and Historian (+ more TBA!) will perform as musical attractions in Berlin on March 8th. There are also loads of extras like a festival market, a skate ramp and whatever else The Vices can come up with! ViceFest immerses visitors in their crazy little world and presents itself as a wild travelling circus that shouldn’t be missed.
Shybits are a post-punk garage rock trio from Berlin, consisting of friends Liam from Brighton (guitar & vocals), Piero from Italy (bass & vocals) and Meg from South Africa (drums). The fluffy, feel-good sound is reminiscent of ’90s post-punk and garage rock and has been described as “Beach Boys suntan nostalgia meets Beatlesque bedroom pop”.
The Vices present a contrasting mix of Britpop and surf rock. After such a successful debut album as “Looking For Faces” you would think that the band would indulge in all sorts of escapades, but a nasty pandemic halted the festival season and a sold-out club tour. But if there’s one thing The Vices aren’t, it’s defenceless and idle. If you can’t fly, you might as well run fast; anything to release energy and creative drive.

The Vices became a house band on the Dutch talk show “M” (NPO1), were familiar faces on major national radio stations like 3FM and KINK, threw a sold-out ViceFest in Groningen and… returned to the studio! The Vices went in search of themselves. On the new single “Strange Again” you can hear them reflect and philosophize about the eternal longing for new adventures.
