Mark your calendars, because our favourite multidisciplinary fashion festival is officially back. From November 13th to 15th, 2026, the FASHIONCLASH Festival returns to Maastricht for its 18th edition, taking over various iconic locations across the city. For over 15 years, KALTBLUT Magazine has been an integral part of the FASHIONCLASH family, and watching this platform continuously evolve into an absolute global powerhouse for radical, visionary design remains one of the highlights of our year.
Across three action-packed days, the festival will serve as a vital launchpad for over 100 emerging designers, artists, and performers from more than 25 countries. Immersing visitors in a rich program of performances, exhibitions, fashion shows, film screenings, workshops, and panel talks, FASHIONCLASH continues to champion a new generation of creators who are actively reshaping the visual and ethical landscape of contemporary fashion.

Program Highlights & Key Encounters
-
The Clash House (Saturday Evening, November 14th): Staged inside the monumental Peutzhal at ENCI, this signature fashion performance program will see ten selected designers present their work in a live, interdisciplinary format. Supported by the Meester Koetsier Foundation, a €2,500 grant will be awarded to one participant. This year’s performance lineup includes Nouka Rous, Paco Teepe, Isa Hazelager, Anna Strengers, Emma Magermans, Larissa de Jager, Dies van Herk, Amy Pratt, Aron Saxe Lydon, and Soojeong Lee.
-
New Fashion Narratives at Bureau Europa: Curated by Jamal Nxedlana, Karmen Samson, Welmoed Bosch, and Agatha Prieto Jeanty, this year’s exhibition theme—titled Fleshy, slimy, wobbly—explores practices that resist rigid categorisation. Developed during a dedicated Residency Week, the concept embraces the unruly, shapeshifting side of design, challenging dominant industry systems through fluid, grotesque, and fascinating forms.
-
Wider Festival Scope: The program is further rounded out by the Fashion Film Program & Awards at Lumière Cinema, participatory projects via Fashion Makes Sense at Centre Céramique, experimental showcases through the Amarte x FASHIONCLASH collaboration, and the essential Class of 2026 graduate presentation.

As longtime family members of this incredible movement, we could not be more excited to head back to the Netherlands to support the next wave of global talent. Stay tuned—the full program will be officially announced after the summer break.

The campaign for FASHIONCLASH Festival 2026, developed by Hashim Nasr.
The campaign focuses on bringing together African and Middle Eastern cultural traditions through a surrealist and avant-garde visual language. Set against open landscapes and carefully staged environments, the images transform traditional symbols, clothing, rituals and objects into dreamlike narratives in which the boundaries between memory, mythology and contemporary identity blur.
By bringing together diverse cultural references in symbolic scenes, the project creates a space in which heritage is not only preserved but also reimagined. Through conceptual photography and carefully constructed visual narratives, the campaign celebrates the cultural connections between different regions. At the same time, it explores themes such as connection, transformation and collective imagination, showing how art can be experienced and interpreted from different cultural perspectives.
Hashim Nasr is a Sudanese visual artist and photographer based in Alexandria, Egypt. Originally trained as a dentist, he developed his conceptual and surrealist artistic practice as an experimental way to explore themes such as displacement, memory and gender identity. In his staged images and symbolic visual language, he brings emotional and psychological landscapes to life. He uses experimental, handmade objects to explore subjects such as exile, identity and the search for connection. His recent projects focus on the experiences of war and migration. His work has been exhibited and published both nationally and internationally, in various publications and online exhibitions.

About FASHIONCLASH
FASHIONCLASH is a development and presentation platform for fashion (culture) that, through crossovers, contributes on the one hand to the individual practice and talent development of a new generation of fashion makers, and on the other hand to broader awareness of the role of fashion in the world.
FASHIONCLASH is a foundation based in Maastricht, established in 2009 by a collective of (fashion) designers, with the mission of approaching fashion as a cultural phenomenon that touches everyone’s daily life in various forms, and that can contribute positively to a clean, solidary and pluriversal world. By making surprising connections, FASHIONCLASH explores the role of fashion, the multimedia language of fashion, and new visions and practices, making critical reflection on social issues, visual art and design visible in an innovative, playful and hands-on way.
Rooted firmly in Limburg, FASHIONCLASH operates as an international platform, with an international programme and collaborative projects both at home and abroad. The organisation has now realised more than 300 projects and events in, among others, the Netherlands, various European countries, China and South Africa. In 2021, FASHIONCLASH received the Cultuurfonds Innovation Prize, in recognition of its pioneering role in the cultural sector. The annual FASHIONCLASH Festival in Maastricht, celebrating its 18th edition this year (November 2026), is one of the platform’s most well-known events.
