A Day in Kyiv

A photography story taken from our digital issue FIGHTERS! Photography by Lesha Berezovskiy. For many of us, living in a war zone is unimaginable. That´s why we asked Kyiv-based photographer Lesha Berezovskiy to show us, what a new-normal day in the Ukrainian capital looks like.

Lesha sent us loads of stunning photos of his friends and wife, Agata, whose story you can listen back to on Spotify. He also sent us photos of the destroyed Russian tanks that were put on display in the centre of Kyiv ahead of the country’s Independence Day on the 24th of August.

Lesha has documented his experiences from the beginning of the invasion via several mediums, such as his column at Switzerland’s Republik Magazin. Follow Lesha on Instagram via @lewa_kartowa to keep up with his work.
