“One of the most wonderful aspects of the decade of the 80s was that people dressed and made up as they wanted regardless of the sexual ideology to which they belonged. The lens of the politically correct was not so defined… Everything was authentic. Inspired by the iconic figure of Philip Oakey, I decided to deconstruct masculinity through the aesthetics of that decade.”
