Inspired by “The Magic Book” from Taschen, the collection paints a world drenched in sombre blacks and flamboyant colours, featuring contorted bodies, enigmatic messages, and constant references to the eternal struggle between good and evil. Historically persecuted, magicians have always been gateways to a parallel reality filled with summoned spirits, mind readings, overturned laws, and illusionary feats. These pioneers of special effects never cease to bewilder us by making the impossible come alive on stage, inspiring the magic of cinematic special effects.
The theme of this collection is intricately tied to the identity of Andrea Alchieri’s aesthetic vision, where the fascination with the dark and eerie has been a recurring motif. Even the name ALCHÈTIPO hints at alchemy, the ancient fusion of science and magic, reinforcing a thematic cycle that submerges and resurfaces, inspired by surrealist cinema—an eclectic mix of languages and a tapestry of mystery and occult beauty.
