Fashion enthusiasts witnessed a fashion experience that was out of this world! Hong Kong’s very own design visionary, Angus Tsui, debuted his latest collection, “GIGER Vol. 2,” at London Fashion Week F/W25. As part of the Fashion Hong Kong showcase, Tsui served up a jaw-dropping mix of sustainability, sci-fi aesthetics, and cutting-edge innovation—all while paying homage to the legendary H.R. Giger.
For those who ever wondered what fashion would look like in a cyberpunk utopia, Tsui provided the answer. Inspired by Giger’s iconic biomechanical aesthetic (think Xenomorph meets high fashion), the collection featured exoskeleton-like structures, surreal silhouettes, and avant-garde materials that defied the limits of design.
It included a thrilling mix of upcycled knitwear in collaboration with The Billie Upcycling, sustainable denim developed with The Stella Blue Textile and Vegan leather that looked and felt like it came straight from a future terrorised by James Cameron’s Terminators.
While the collection took inspiration from a dystopian future, its ethos was firmly rooted in sustainability. Tsui’s work was a masterclass ethically, using recycled and renewable resources while minimizing energy and water consumption. His approach proved that eco-conscious fashion didn’t have to be dull—it could be bold, sculptural, and cinematic.
Tsui’s work had already been showcased at prestigious exhibitions like the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum’s “Sustainable Thinking” exhibit in Florence and The Vancouver Art Gallery’s “Fashion Fictions.” As the founder of ANCares, he also championed sustainability education through workshops and collaborations with global brands.
With Fashion Hong Kong bringing the city’s top talent to international runways, Tsui’s presentation at London Fashion Week highlighted the unstoppable rise of Hong Kong designers in the global fashion arena. From New York to Tokyo, Paris to Seoul, the movement made waves, and “GIGER Vol. 2” proved that futuristic fashion and sustainability aren’t a promise of tomorrow but a reality.
Angus Tsui took them on an intergalactic journey. To infinity and beyond.
