The centrepiece of the exhibition includes a collection of new works on canvas and paper, spotlighting THE CRIMSON, an innovative series that Roescheisen has been meticulously developing. Grounded in her exploration of the intangible, the exhibition traverses the metaphorical red thread, an emblematic motif represented through sewn lines that signify coherence and presence in her artistry.

Roescheisen’s practice flourishes through the harmonious interplay of gesture, colour, and texture. Her signature visual language is marked by a blend of restraint and clarity, turning space into presence while distilling each element to its essence. With deep ultramarine strokes that sweep across her canvases and papers, Roescheisen oscillates between precision and intuition, producing works that resonate with rhythm, soft yet assertive.

A distinctive hand-sewn red line courses through her pieces, animated and purposeful, connecting visual elements with emotional depth. In her compositions, colour becomes the emotional anchor; blue evokes reflection and the unseen, while red anchors the work in memory and physicality. Together, they orchestrate a dynamic balance between movement and stillness, matter and spirit.

Roescheisen’s art encourages viewers to engage with perception rather than fixed interpretation. In her eyes, to hold the line is to remain anchored while maintaining openness, a stillness that flows rather than resists.

This ethos extends seamlessly across her vast body of work, which encompasses video, photography, sculpture, installation, painting, and drawing. Roescheisen probes the emotional and philosophical dimensions of human existence, drawing from medieval iconography to contemporary aesthetics, crafting a poetic language that interrogates our connections to ourselves, others, and the world around us.
