“Our differences with Eddy were clear from the very beginning. From our lifestyles to our orientations to our attitudes towards life, to our priorities. Although our differences were evident, during the shoot we discovered that we had some similarities, such as the prejudices, pressures, or expectations of the environment we grew up in. I told him how it felt to be born and raised as a gay man in a country that was intolerant of differences, and how the armor I had built for myself to avoid being affected by this mentality, had brought me this far.
At the end of the shoot, we had great respect, understanding, trust, and excellent photos. We didn’t let the differences affect us and our work. On the contrary, we trusted each other and worked very well together.”
