ARTHROPODA explores the presence of extraordinary, otherworldly garments within familiar, everyday settings. Inspired by the insect world, the editorial brings together distinctive, handcrafted designs and the ordinary urban landscapes of London. Through the juxtaposition of sculptural shapes, intricate textures and familiar surroundings, the series explores the contrast between fantasy and everyday life.

Mandy Izquierdo is a photographer based in the UK, working between London and Leeds. Her practice focuses on fashion, portraiture and editorial photography, with a particular interest in analogue processes. Identity, craftsmanship and handmade art are recurring themes in her work.
