B.A.R.E SHOW at Berlin Fashion Week! A photo review

In collaboration with FashionX:Change Atlanta-Berlin and PLATTE BERLIN, students from the Faculty of Creative Business in the Sustainable Fashion Design & Management and Fashion Marketing programs showcased their designs at the Berlin Fashion Week. All photos by Lars Nitsch.

The B.A.R.E fashion show stood out as one of the best student shows I have ever attended, presenting a remarkably cohesive collection. Set against the backdrop of the MOA Hotel, the perfect venue in Berlin, this event not only celebrated creativity but also highlighted the significant impact of sustainability and innovation through its partnership with the Circularity Council.

Exhibition: Fashion X:Change

Fashion X:Change Atlanta–Berlin is an international academic project that champions innovation, sustainability, and cultural exchange within the fashion realm. Students from Atlanta and Berlin collaborate to craft sustainable, ethical, and future-oriented fashion concepts.

This exhibition showcases the works and processes born out of this partnership, illuminating global perspectives on fashion, sustainability, and design.

Fashion Show: B.A.R.E. – Soft Power

Following the exhibition, the university presented the fashion show B.A.R.E. – Soft Power. B.A.R.E. is a label from the Creative Business faculty, and the Soft Power collection reveals b.a.r.e. in its serene yet powerful essence: delicate fabrics, soft silhouettes, transparent layers, and feminine vibes that speak softly yet resonate sustainably.

The show embodied a conscious evolution of the b.a.r.e. DNA, where gentleness is embraced as a form of strength.

Borderless – authentic – rebellious – equal.

Academic Context

This event was part of an educational initiative by the Creative Business faculty and is integrated into the Berlin Fashion Week schedule. The spotlight is on Sustainable Fashion Design & Management, emphasising international collaboration between European and U.S. institutions.
