IMPARI unveiled an innovative collection at Berlin Fashion Week with Photographer Shin Jeong Hoon. IMPARI, a pioneering circular fashion brand, is making waves at Berlin Fashion Week with their latest collection, PERMISSION ≠ SLIP. This initiative is part of their broader commitment, WITH[out]WASTE, which focuses on transforming waste into innovative materials sourced from recycled plastics and establishing vital value chains between Berlin and Ghana.

All garments are crafted locally in Berlin, where inclusivity is at the forefront of their design ethos. The brand offers non-binary and unisex collections tailored to accommodate diverse body types, utilising distinct prints developed through their own creative processes.

This season, IMPARI is showcasing a collection deeply rooted in self-reclamation and introspection. PERMISSION ≠ SLIP invites wearers to turn away from external validation and reconnect with their inner selves. The silhouettes presented are intentionally wide and monumental, promoting inclusivity and space rather than constriction. Designed with suit-inspired forms and uniform references, this collection subtly critiques existing professional and social structures. The interplay of structured and soft elements symbolises the tension between discipline and freedom, encouraging personal expression.
Using 100-per-cent-recycled PET materials, the garments balance heaviness and lightness, embodying the complexity of modern identity. The calming, minimalist prints highlight handcrafted textures and intricately woven artworks, allowing each piece to serve as a declaration of personal style and self-authorship. Rather than outright rejection of existing systems, PERMISSION ≠ SLIP emphasises the importance of claiming one’s agency within them, reshaping narratives through intuitive design.

Photographer Shin Jeong Hoon captured the essence of this unique collection from behind the scenes, documenting the creative process that brings these innovative designs to life. With a focus not just on high-end fashion but also on social impact and sustainability education for young creatives, IMPARI continues to advocate for a world where creativity and responsibility coexist seamlessly.
