Backstage at Richert Beil Spring/Summer 2026 – Milieuschutz

Berlin Fashion Week! We may not have received an invite this season, but let’s be real, we’re still head over heels for Richert Beil. Their Spring/Summer 2026 collection, “Milieuschutz,” is a bold statement on change, the duality of beginnings and endings, and the profound responsibility that entails crafting with intention.

Emerging from a transformative move to a new studio space, an enchanting 135-year-old pharmacy in the vibrant Kreuzberg district, the collection encapsulates the essence of preservation and renewal. Tailoring takes centre stage once again, reimagined with exquisite precision and clarity.

The designs are unified by floral motifs that dance between the literal and symbolic, celebrating the cyclical journey of growth and decay. Oversized blazers featuring stunning rose tapestry and intricate intarsia knits serve as a romantic nod to historical influences. Meanwhile, silk trousers and shirts, adorned with delicate handmade lace, create a magical fusion of intimacy and elegance.

A strong commitment to craftsmanship is evident through lingerie-inspired techniques and hand-finished details, bringing each piece to life. Traditional “Tracht” elements undergo a striking modern transformation, evident in the bold latex lederhosen flaunting suspender-like details. Structured shirts channel the spirit of classic uniforms and traditional cuts, helping to ground the collection in cultural memory.

Photographer Anna Nowalska-Duda was our backstage eyes and lens, capturing every captivating moment of this presentation for our readers.
