BIZIRAUN. THE LASTING IMAGERY

A KALTBLUT exclusive. BIZIRAUN. THE LASTING IMAGERY – (Biziraun, Basque for ” enduring” or “lasting”) This editorial is a creative collaboration between designer Asier Quintana, stylist & visual artist Chenert Allikmaa and fashion photographer Hannah Skovbjerg. This editorial revises Asier’s first collection ‘Biziraun’, which is built from fragments of vintage clothing and personal familiar archive, and follows a story:

A mother. Her children. A house that hums with memory. In this spectral tableau, garments become vessels, holding grief, inheritance, and the unspoken ties between generations. Loosely inspired by The Others, this shoot’s story drifts between reality and apparition: when the mother sees the ghost of her own mother, time folds in on itself. Something ends. Or begins.

Here, in a home that carries bittersweet memories, Biziraun lives on, not as a scream, but as a whisper.

Asier Quintana is a Basque fashion designer based in Copenhagen. He works from his atelier, where he blends traditional tailoring with contemporary narratives. His work explores wear, imperfection, and vulnerability, drawing on historical references for situational reflection and a deep sense of inherited craftsmanship.

Challenging gender conventions in clothing is a natural part of his process, offering garments that feel personal rather than prescriptive. Every piece pays homage to the past through careful construction, fine detail, and a constant dialogue between technique, sensitivity and personality.

Chenert Allikmaa is a fashion stylist and visual artist based between Copenhagen and Paris. Chenert´s work spans multiple fields, blending passion for style and aesthetics to create unique and captivating narratives. Their distinctive aesthetic blends dark but playful styles to craft an enchanting and bold fashion universe.

Hannah Skovbjerg is a freelance photographer based in Copenhagen. Her work is characterised by her interest in people, light and atmosphere, and she is working with both analogue and digital techniques to achieve visual expressions.

She has studied both commercial photography and art photography, and she has worked as a photographer in London, Gothenburg and Aarhus before Copenhagen.
