A KALTBLUT exclusive menswear editorial. Photography by Peter Warrick. Model is Anthony signed at D1 Models NYC. Art Directed by Andres Rangl. Styling by Sam Dawdy using Blow of Mercy. Hair by Li Murillo. Make up by Risako Matsushita. The purpose of the shoot was to connect the current trend of camp style with the theme of masculinity. Having recently studied the work of Grayson Perry, Peter Warrick has been interested in the idea of how we use clothing as a means to act the role of gender. In this instance, working in collaboration with the streetwear brand Blow of Mercy and art director Andres Rangl, we wanted to explore how wearing camo style reaches deep into our primal desires and need to engage with something more pre-historic. As Grayson Perry says “ deprived of full engagement with the classic outdoorsy narrative of masculinity, the modern urban man loves to wear anything that hints of olden days derring-do.”
