The UK’s original queer festival that celebrates queerness in club culture, Body Movements, is set to return for its esteemed Winter edition on 3rd February 2024, bringing together some of the finest crews from across the queer club spectrum. For this seasonal spesh, Body Movements will make its homecoming to a labyrinth of indoor venues around Hackney Wick and will have 27 crews on curation duties including 2CPERREA, Adonis, Bitch Please!, Bottom Heavy, Fèmmme Fraîche, High Hoops, Inferno, Nite Dykes, Pxssy Palace, T-Boys Club and many more for this day to night session. Body Movements have again carefully programmed a plethora of crews, collectives, DJs, live acts, dancers and more to represent the LGBTQIA+ community in all its glory – this will be a melting pot of identity and expression in the proudest form. As the countdown begins it’s only a matter of time before queer Christmas is upon us once again.

Born out of the desire to showcase the mix of creativity across queer club culture, Body Movements has snowballed into a network of queer bodies. The club landscape in London is endangered, with DIY culture, venues and grassroots projects under threat, this instalment of Body Movements will spotlight local talent and collectives, amplifying their voices and visibility with our community. The preservation of the underground and everything it stands for has never been more important and Body Movements will be doing so with some of the most respected and celebrated crews from the spectrum.

Although born in East London, Body Movements has an international representation and welcomes all of the queer UK favourites and beyond providing a sexy meltdown and heating things in the cold weather.

Always keeping things fresh, this year Body Movements welcomes seven brand new crews to the family – including 2CPERREA bringing its Perreo party to Hackney Wick, crafted by latinx queer people in London. 2CPERREA is a night for the dolls. Expect lewks, glamour, drama and hard techno bringing everyone’s fantasies to life! The party is an interactive experience that embodies DIY culture, created with the Trans community in mind, this party is often at off-the-cuff venues providing a safe environment for individuals to turn up and express themselves.

IsBurning Amsterdam is another newbie stepping up to the plate at Body Movements Winter. Renowned for its sexy stripped-back locations across the city, the collective is known for collapsing with some of the crem de la crem of club land. Teaming up with titans such as Maricas and Josh Caffé’s Fabric party Love Child. It’s only a matter of time before we see how they will be collaborating with Body Movements.
