With a focus on creating a platform for underrepresented queer artists, Body Movements Festival has collaborated with The Queer Archive, an international art collective, to feature 10 groundbreaking artists. Expect to witness monumental live art installations from Florian Hetz, Daniel Paramio, Javier Alejandro Cerrada, Mike D’Hondt, Alina Gross, Slava Mogutin, and others. Each piece will be accompanied by a QR code, enabling festival-goers to dive deeper into the artists’ worlds and purchase the displayed works.
This partnership aims to cultivate a vibrant community of like-minded artists and creatives, with plans for an extended program. As this collaboration unfolds, it sets the stage for unique and promising ventures in the years to come.
“The Queer Archive gallery exhibition at Southwark Park is a groundbreaking artistic collaboration. Body Movements is thrilled to showcase bold and playful queer bodies and portraits by remarkable queer artists from around the globe. This is just the beginning, as we look forward to further collaborations in 2025,” said Clayton Wright, Body Movements Co-Founder.
“Returning to London, where The Queer Archive was born, for a collaboration with Body Movements is a profound honor. The festival embodies the spirit of freedom, solidarity, and celebration that we cherish. Our artists’ works resonate perfectly with these values. We are thrilled to be part of this magical festival’s next chapter,” added Konstantinos Menelaou, The Queer Archive Founder.
