Rodrigo Cabrera, the visionary creative director and founder of the genderless Peruvian brand, Bondage Factory, mesmerized the audience with the captivating Fall-Winter 23-24 collection entitled “Moi”. This exquisite showcase took place at the historic colonial association established in 1940 in the heart of Lima, Peru.

The event unfolded like a grand performance, seamlessly merging drama, diverse musical genres, and immersive atmospheres. Hielería Espíritu’s ethereal ice sculptures, delicately encapsulating pieces from the new collection, adorned the show, adding an element of frozen enchantment. The runway was adorned with meticulously handcrafted sculptural hairpieces by Atelier Sian and her talented team, complementing every look flawlessly. Biuti Up’s personalized, handmade nails further enhanced the distinctive characters in the spotlight.
Enhancing the theatrical nature of the show, the makeup, skillfully executed by the renowned MUS school under the guidance of Christian Matta, imbued each model with a mesmerizing, ambiguous allure, a captivating homage to the non-binary representation that Bondage Factory champions.
In a stunning fusion of silver, black, and violet, the collection embraces an array of fabrics, including brocade, denim accessories, and luxurious leather. Stainless steel appliqués and meticulously tailored garments seamlessly blend urban aesthetics with elegant eveningwear, offering a range of versatile ensembles that effortlessly adapt from casual occasions to bridal fantasies, with Ana Paula Alfaro’s sewing direction adding a touch of magic to every bridal dress.
Moi, the catalyst behind the designer’s creative inspiration for this collection, was an extraordinary non-binary artist whose visually striking identity resonates throughout the entire showcase. Through sensuality, elegance, erotic art, avant-garde elements, plastic arts, music, and photography, Moi’s essence and passion come alive. The casting for the show prioritized inclusivity, showcasing the rich diversity of Peru’s multicultural society through models of different ethnicities, genders, ages, and body types. The extensive involvement of both local and international artists, models, and performers further elevated the artistic vision.
Collaborating artists, such as María Abaddon, bring their unique artistic expressions into the collection, crafting meticulously woven and artisanal pieces of clothing. Magno Shoes, renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship, contributed exquisite leather footwear creations that perfectly complemented the Fall-Winter 23-24 collection.
To enhance the visual experience, the collection features stunning illustrations by graphic artist Heyshiro Matsuoka. Additionally, collaborative pieces by Mili Núñez, Elizabeth Vásquez, Mina Jeri, and Stev, who designed exquisite ceramic pieces, accessories, and jewellery, further enriched the Fall-Winter 23-24 proposal.
Notably, Bondage Factory remains committed to sustainability by incorporating recycled and curated pieces into the collection. The remarkable work of Daniela Pérez, Rigel Meléndez, Emily Branez, and Sue Huamani in editing and refining these elements showcases the brand’s dedication to preserving the environment.
Behind the scenes, the production, PR, artistic direction, and coordination were flawlessly executed by Rodrigo Cabrera, Fabrizio Ricciardi, Diego Villagra, Mili Núñez, Alexandra Carcausto, Adriana Vargas, Maya Davila, and an incredible team of talented assistants from various disciplines.
