The 12th International Berlin Burlesque Festival is set to dazzle and entertain from October 3rd to 6th, 2024, with a spectacular celebration of burlesque art. Over 1,500 attendees are expected to flock to the historic Wintergarten Varieté and Heimathafen Neukölln to witness a blend of glamour, humour, and electrifying performances from international burlesque artists.
The 2024 line-up is a global affair, featuring talents from the USA, Australia, South Africa, Japan, and Europe. This year’s festival emphasizes inclusion and diversity, spotlighting newcomers like 76-year-old Misia Courage and the Belgian dance duo Mimich Lumière and Zoe Bizoe with their inspirational wheelchair-tango act. Expect a fusion of classic burlesque, cabaret, neo-burlesque, and boylesque, celebrating a vast spectrum of artistic expression.

The festival’s mission is firmly rooted in empowerment and body positivity, fostering an environment where performers of all genders, body types, and backgrounds can express themselves freely. This year’s diverse roster of artists highlights the festival’s commitment to celebrating individuality and defying societal norms.
In addition to captivating nightly shows, the festival features workshops for attendees keen to delve deeper into burlesque culture. Sessions will cover everything from dance techniques to character creation and stage presence.
The festival is driven by the “Queen of German Burlesque,” Marlene von Steenvag, with a dynamic production team including Stage Manager Lady White Rabbit, Liu Bohème, Arden Delacour, and Max Oestersötebier, the musical director of the award-winning band The Sazerac Swingers. The event will be hosted by Lily Mortis, Gisele Kloppke, and Raketenmieze.
