“ABOUT US.” is the latest initiative by the renowned producer-DJ pair, Catz ‘n Dogz. This project brings together prominent figures from Poland’s electronic music community, particularly those affiliated with the LGBTQ+ community.
Catz ‘n Dogz’s new venture continues to uphold values of equality, unity, and community. This collaboration features a unique compilation of twelve tracks designed specifically for the project, and a companion film highlighting key influencers from the electronic music scene. These individuals are central to revitalizing the cultural landscape in various Polish cities and are active in rights advocacy.
The project includes a partnership with the “Love Does Not Exclude Association,” a nonprofit focused on promoting marriage equality in Poland. Pets Recordings is set to release the compilation, which will feature cover art by the renowned Polish illustrator and graphic designer, Ola Jasionowska.
“ABOUT US.” seeks to display the dynamic and joyful spirit of Poland, offering an alternative to the prevalent political discourse in media. As long-standing supporters of the LGBTQ+ community, Catz ‘n Dogz have enjoyed mutual support within the club scene.
The project serves as a homage to those facing social exclusion, underlining the supportive nature of the music industry. It highlights emerging talents and established artists like BOŻNA, LAVAXXX, Twoja Stara, and IKARVS, along with An On Bast, Baasch, Avtomat, Kitty Sarcasm, Cougar, Iwona Skv, GIGEE, and Max Skiba. Additionally, the compilation includes Ketiov, a solo venture by Wojtek developed in Madrid.
Through “ABOUT US.,” Catz ‘n Dogz spearhead a socially conscious campaign to foster a more inclusive image of Poland. The project not only celebrates diversity through dance but also supports the essential work of Love Does Not Exclude Association to achieve marriage equality in Poland, with all proceeds from the album dedicated to this cause.
