Originating in 2019 as part of Pop-Hayat, this performative installation has expanded its horizons each year, evolving with the changing needs and circumstances of its visitors. The 2024 iteration, curated by the talented Yeşim Duman, promises to be no different.
Set in the picturesque courtyard of Kulturbrauerei, the Çaystube is a haven for diverse audiences to immerse themselves in culture, dialogue, and relaxation. This year’s program is a testament to Çaystube’s commitment to merging social, political, and cultural narratives. The event kicks off on Wednesday, August 28th, from 19:00 to 24:00, and continues on Thursday and Friday, August 29th and 30th, from 17:00 to 24:00. Importantly, all activities are accessible without any entry fee, breaking down barriers to participation.

The vibrant lineup features live performances by EsRap, Jenys, and bangerfabrique. Their energy will be complemented by DJ sets from the innovative Krista Papista and DJ Zuzanna Czebatul. Highlighting its activist roots, the Çaystube will also feature posters from the »Kunst bleibt viele« campaign, a staunch stand against fascism.
DJ Zuzanna Czebatul’s involvement with »Die Vielen«, a network combating misanthropy and right-wing extremism, adds another layer of commitment to social justice, making the Çaystube more than just a cultural hub; it’s a forum for progressive and inclusive dialogue.
