We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Fashion Council Germany for inviting us to this remarkable event. It is impossible to overlook the significant contributions that the FCG has made over the past decade. Their relentless efforts in championing German fashion have undoubtedly enriched the landscape and fostered a thriving environment for emerging talents. Without the FCG’s tireless work, German fashion would not be as successful as it is today.

During the evening, Kirsty Keoghan, General Manager of Fashion & Luxury at eBay, took the stage to commend the FCG’s accomplishments and the fruitful partnerships forged throughout the years. Her words resonated deeply, celebrating a decade of resilience and innovation within the council.

The annual membership meeting held just after the dinner reaffirmed the continuity of strong leadership under the guiding vision of our chairperson, Christiane Arp, and the Board members—Marie-Louise Berg, Roel de Cooman, Simone Hartmann, and Dirk Schönberger. Their re-election underscores the FCG’s status as a vital competency cluster specialising in media, sales, design, human resources, and political networking.

The council’s positive financial developments and ambitious initiatives were also shared, alongside exciting new projects that are on the agenda for the coming year. Scott Lipinski, the CEO of FCG, reflected on successes achieved in political networking, particularly highlighting the strategic management of the Berlin Fashion Week, which has attracted a growing international audience over the years.

The presence of distinguished guests, such as Dr Christian Ehler from the European Parliament and Gitta Connemann, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, further emphasised the significance of FCG’s work, highlighting the strong ties between fashion, industry, and politics.

As we look back with pride on a successful anniversary year, we are filled with enthusiasm for the next decade that lies ahead for the Fashion Council Germany. Here’s to celebrating innovation, creativity, and passion in German fashion, and to many more years of success and collaboration!
